You've got to feel sorry for President Bush:
"You know, one of the hardest parts of my job is to connect Iraq to the war on terror."
(Interview with CBS News, 6th Sept, 2006. Hat-tip: Jacob Weisberg.)
I guess it must have got him beat if last night’s admission is anything to go by:
"I am often asked why we are in Iraq when Saddam Hussein was not responsible for the 9/11 attacks."
Not that Mr Bush feels we should be at all dismayed by such an error:
"The world is safer because Saddam Hussein is no longer in power."
I think the word I’m searching for is - ‘delusional’. (And if that’s a bit hard for George, I’m sure his mate Tony will be able to help him out with the definition.)
If things go any more Pete Tong, he could always try a song:
It's sad, so sad
It's a sad, sad situation
And it's getting more and more absurd
It's sad, so sad
Why can't we talk it over
Oh it seems to me
That sorry seems to be the hardest word(Elton John - Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word, lyrics by Bernie Taupin)

Just a little question to make you lot think:
"What happened to the Weapons of Mass Destruction?"
Do not say they never existed - difficult to believe that Saddam used them all in one gassing and Blick was quite clear that they did exist.
You were so sure that they were not in Iraq - is this because you knew where they were? Or is your automatic prejudice that Bush and Blair are liars regardless?
